Last days of Winter nights and the beginning of Summer will wake us up tomorrow. This might be my last Winter night...... Unfortunately, the only noise that I could hear the entire night was the miserable inflamed lungs struggling to inhale oxygen in a proper way! Early Spring might be the trigger of acute bronchitis?
Is the statement below true?
Bronchitis can be spread by coming into contact with an infected person, but it more commonly occurs following a cold or the flu that develops into bronchitis. The virus attacks the lining of the bronchial tree in the lungs causing infection, swelling and excess mucous production.
The cough from acute bronchitis can last for several weeks or months. Because bronchitis is usually caused by viruses, antibiotics are rarely helpful, even if the mucous is green or yellow. They typically won't help you get better any faster unless your healthcare provider is sure the bronchitis is caused by a bacteria.
The treatment for bronchitis consists of:
Rest
Increased fluid intake - How could fluid intake benefits me??
Medications, including pain relievers, antiinflammatories and occasionally antibiotics
I could just sum this up that I need proper medication. My cough syrup is not helping me at all!!
